Carmicia is a native of Washington, D.C. and knows first-hand how it feels to relocate. As a child of a parent in the Air Force, she has lived in many places. She considers North Carolina home. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science degree, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She obtained two Master of Science degrees from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State university.
